Extinguish® Plus Fire Ant Bait 1.5 lb gives DIY users the same bait technology used by pros. Worker ants pick up the granules and carry them into the mound as food, feeding the queen and the rest of the colony. The combination of hydramethylnon and S-methoprene (IGR) provides a unique two-way kill: the insecticide quickly starts knocking down workers while the growth regulator prevents the colony from rebounding by stopping new ants from developing.
Targets imported and native fire ants plus other listed species such as harvester ants, big-headed ants and Argentine ants when used according to the label.
Labeled for use on residential and commercial lawns, landscaped areas, golf courses, non-cropland sites, and around animal holding areas (see label for full list of approved sites and any pasture/rangeland restrictions).
Can be used as individual mound treatments or broadcast applications with a spreader, following labeled rates.
