Product Overview

MAXFORCE QUANTUM (household/sugar-feeding ants)

Option A — WITH REFILLABLE BAIT STATIONS (indoor or outdoor perimeter)

  1. Where to place
    • Put stations on ant trails, near nest sites/entry points (doors, weep holes, where pipes/wires enter). Outdoors, stations can also run fence/property lines to intercept trails.

  2. How much per station / spacing
    • Fill each station reservoir with Maxforce Quantum (do not exceed station capacity). Check and replenish as needed. Space stations to match pressure; outdoors, do not exceed 1 station per 25 linear feet of building perimeter.

  3. Large, multi-queen outdoor ant pressure (Argentine/“sugar” ant programs)
    • Make liquid bait for stations only: mix ONE part Maxforce Quantum into NINE parts 25% sugar water to yield ~0.003% imidacloprid bait; use only in liquid-holding stations (e.g., Antopia/KM Ant Pro). Refill while ants are feeding.

  4. Follow-up
    • Inspect after 2–3 days, then weekly. Refill/move stations onto fresh trails as they shift. Indoors, keep stations in inaccessible areas (under/behind appliances, in voids).

  5. Important label cautions
    • Not for fire, carpenter, or harvester ants. Keep off food/food-prep areas; crack-and-crevice only in food facilities. Do not apply to Tilia (linden/basswood).

Option B — WITHOUT STATIONS (spots, beads, crack/crevice)

  1. Indoors (inaccessible areas only)
    • Rate: up to 2.0 grams per 100 sq ft (e.g., 10 placements of ~0.2 g each in a 100-sq-ft kitchen), applied as small spots or short 1/8-inch beads along trails/in cracks. Keep off exposed food/utensils and avoid routinely washed surfaces.

  2. Outdoors (spot/trail/nest)
    • Trails: ~0.6 g per 10 linear feet, broken into multiple small spots/beads placed beside trails.
    • Nest entrances: up to 2.0 g directly into each entrance.
    • Favor shaded/sheltered placements protected from sun and rain/irrigation. Re-check and reapply where bait is consumed.

What to expect
• Reduced foragers in a few days; full colony impact builds as bait moves via trophallaxis. Indoors the gel stays palatable up to ~3 months.

EXTINGUISH PLUS (fire ants, also for big-headed/Argentine/harvester as labeled)

Option A — WITH REFILLABLE BAIT STATIONS (perimeter/intercept)

  1. Where & spacing
    • Place stations along structure edges/fence lines, near entry points or pest activity. Space 1 station every 15–30 linear feet. Keep dry.

  2. How much per station
    • Up to 1 ounce (≈2 tablespoons) bait per station. Inspect frequently; replenish if soiled/wet or consumed. Affix station content sticker.

  3. Timing
    • Apply when ants are actively foraging (soil >60°F). Quick check: drop a potato chip—if workers recruit in a few minutes, conditions are right.

  4. Moisture rules
    • Do not apply within 6 hours of rain; don’t irrigate for 24 hours after placement. Wet bait becomes unattractive.

Option B — WITHOUT STATIONS (broadcast and/or individual mounds)

  1. Broadcast (best for yard-wide pressure)
    • Rate: 1.5 lb/acre = 3 oz per 5,000 sq ft. Use a hand spreader for small areas; keep it a light, even scatter. Apply when foraging; keep dry as above. Re-treat as needed (observe 90-day re-treat minimum on pastures/rangeland).

  2. Individual mounds (spot clean-up)
    • 2–5 level tablespoons per mound, uniformly around the mound—do not disturb the mound. Keep bait dry and undisturbed after application.

  3. Indoors (non-food areas only, structural voids/attics/crawl spaces inaccessible to kids/pets)
    • 0.25–0.5 oz per crack/crevice/inaccessible area; in unfinished attics/crawl spaces, 0.25 oz per 100 sq ft if the space is secured/inaccessible. (Use stations where practical.)

What to expect
• Colony begins declining in about a week as workers share bait; the IGR prevents rebound by stopping new brood. Full collapse follows queen death. Keep new bait available for satellite/re-invading colonies.

SAFETY & HOUSEKEEPING (both products)
• Place baits only where accessible to ants—not kids, pets, or wildlife. Use refillable stations anywhere access is possible.
• Food areas: crack-and-crevice only; prevent contamination of food/utensils/surfaces.
• Storage: keep containers tightly closed; store cool/dry; discard spoiled/soiled bait.

QUICK PICK (what to use where)
• Kitchen/bath/laundry trails (sweet ants): Maxforce Quantum spots or interior stations.
• Exterior sugar-ant trails along slab/fence: Maxforce Quantum in refillable liquid-holding stations; do not exceed 1 station per 25 ft.
• Fire ant yards: Extinguish Plus broadcast + follow with mound spots 2–5 tbsp where needed; keep dry 24 hrs.
• Around play areas/pets: prefer bait stations (both products have station directions).
